Why We Are Here
Hello!
The Compass was created from lived experience. There was a time when one of us was lost, searching for care and light, and the rest of us could only hold space and hope. Together we learned how hard it is to find healing and how much easier it becomes when there is a guide.
We built The Compass so no one else has to feel alone in that search. It is both a tool and a community, shaped by kindness, balance, inclusivity, safety, growth, and integrity. These are the values that carried us through and that continue to guide our way.
When you join The Compass, you join us in holding these values. You agree to walk with respect and care, so that this space can be one of belonging and light for all.

The Compass Community Agreement
When you join The Compass, you become part of a community built on care, respect, and accountability. This agreement is not just a list of rules, it is a shared commitment to walk alongside one another with kindness and integrity.
What is asked
You are asked to treat yourself and others with dignity and respect. You are asked to listen with care, to honor boundaries, and to recognize that people carry many different experiences and identities. You are asked to uphold safety by protecting privacy and keeping this community free from harassment or exploitation.
Why it is asked
These expectations exist so that The Compass can remain a place of belonging. Safety and kindness allow healing to take root. Balance and fairness give space for every voice to be heard. Inclusivity and growth ensure that no one is left behind. By carrying these values, you help keep the light steady for others who may still be searching for their way.
And then what?
When harm occurs, the goal is first to restore. Conversations will seek to understand, accountability will be asked, and repair will be encouraged. If a pattern of harm continues or if safety is at risk, stronger steps will be taken to protect the community. These steps may include temporary separation, loss of access, or removal from the space. Every decision will center the safety and well-being of those most affected.
